Claire is currently (and perpetually) 3 months older than Steve and so is currently 27. After slowly moving across Sheffield she moved to London to learn how to look after people and then came back to Sheffield to put it into practice. Currently she mops up brains for a living.

Claire bought her own home in Sheffield and was graciously railroaded into letting Steve live there 5 months after they met. A year later Steve proposed and 3 months after that they bought a home together which they are currently making accidently open-plan using hammer and power drill.

Claire loves to read and devours chick-lit at a ferocious rate of knots. She also likes cuddling and having her hair played with while watching tv. She has a passing interest in Sheffield Wednesday and can very easily hold her own in conversations about sport, cars and other things generally considered masculine.

Claire is one of the funniest, loviest, sparkiest, most intelligent, most beautiful people I have had the pleasure of getting too know. She is engaging to talk too and envelopes you with love. She can also drink me under the table.

I am proud to be marrying her and eternally grateful to Nic for matching us together.

Claire's aim in life is to be a kept women, which unless Steve wins the lottery in a very big way is never going to happen. And he'd still make her work even if he did.

Steve is 27 (going on 7). He was born in Leicester on the 1st August 1980. He moved to Sheffield for university and despite numerous attempts from the city council to exile him, he is still there. He moved in with Claire in June 2005 and they bought a house together in September 2006.

He spends most of his time demolishing certain parts of the house, and occasionally putting them back together.

When Steve isn't glued to his Playstation or PSP, he can be found asking Claire for a PS3, drinking Stella or watching his beloved Leicester City (who usually draw).

Anyone who knows Steve will know that he is a big geek. Also, he is one of the kindest, funniest (occasionally), most genourous and loyal blokes you could hope to meet. His sparkly eyes and sweet smile makes girls go weak at the knees (not to mention a few men that have fainted when he winks at them).

I feel priveliged to know him and honoured to be marrying him and I love him more than anything in the world (although it is a close run contest with Max and Jack the dogs).

Steve's aim in life is to be a kept man. Claire plans for him to be kept in an institution.

Claire and Steve were set up by their friend Nicola on the 7th February 2005. One meeting in a pub turned into a 24 hour date. Claire hasn't been able to get rid of Steve since.

Steve proposed to Claire in Scarborough on the 30th June 2006. They had a very nice Italian meal at Tuscany Too (the night Italy beat the Ukraine in the world cup - the waiters were thrilled) and then took a walk down the esplanade. Steve got down on one knee while looking out over the south bay at Scarborough.
